Aston Villa, Manchester United & more among favourites to sign Richarlison

Aston Villa, Manchester United & more among favourites to sign Richarlison

Everton striker Richarlison has been linked with a fair few clubs heading into the summer transfer window.

This comes with Everton having endured a pretty terrible 2021/22 campaign, that saw them struggle to stave off relegation.

Despite the struggles of his side, though, Richarlison still had a decent season on a personal level. The South American managed to net 10 and assist five in 30 Premier League outings.

As a result, it is not too surprising to see the 25-year-old attracting interest from several sides. But who are the favourites to sign Richarlison?

Well, according to Betfair, Aston Villa are the current frontrunners with odds of 5/1. Steven Gerrard’s side have already been active this summer, signing Boubacar Kamara on a free, making Philippe Coutinho’s move permanent and also bringing in Diego Carlos from Spanish side Sevilla.

Signing a player of Richarlison’s quality on top of the aforementioned stars would therefore make it quite the summer for Villa. They do have decent striking options in Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings, but the latter is injury prone and will likely need to be replaced in the near future.

Outside of Aston Villa, Manchester United (11/2), Real Madrid (15/2), Arsenal (9/1) and PSG (9/1) are amongst the other favourites for the Everton man’s signature.

Whilst a move to Madrid or PSG do not seem that likely, both Arsenal and Manchester United could do with some fresh legs up top ahead of next season.

Of course, there may be some doubts over Richarlison’s ability to lead the line for a top club, but Arsenal in particular are also in the market for Gabriel Jesus, and he isn’t the most prolific striker in the world.
