According to reports in the local media Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko is interested in Karela United midfielder Umar Bashiru.
The 25-year-old has been outstanding since joining Karela United and has been with them for two seasons.
The dynamic midfielder was engaged in a massive 15 goals in the last season, having netted respectable 13 goals and contributed two assists, establishing himself as a key player at Anyinase.
According to reports, the midfielder will likely join Asante Kotoko in the coming season.
Asante Kotoko is working relentlessly to sign players to improve on their productivity from last season in order to defend their league title and qualify for the CAF Champions League group stages.
The Porcupine Warriors is set to travel to Turkey for preseason.
