Asante Kotoko moved to second in the Ghana Premier League standings after a 1-0 win over Nsoatreman in an outstanding fixture at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.
Nsoatreman center back Issahaka Mohammed attempted clearing Dauda Saaka’s cross but unfortunately headed the ball into his own net to give Kotoko the advantage few minutes after the restart.
Daniel Moo was also sent off as the visitors were reduced to ten men.
Despite the numerical advantage, Kotoko could not increase their lead but did enough to earn their first home victory of the season.
The outstanding fixture was originally placed on Matchday two following Nsoatreman’s participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Kotoko face Accra Lions in their next fixture while Nsoatreman who now sit 16th hope for redemption against Legon Cities in their next outing.
