Asante Kotoko coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum charged with misconduct and verbal abuse after Aduana FC match

Asante Kotoko’s head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has been charged with misconduct and verbal abuse of match officials following the Premier League game against Aduana FC.

The charges, as per the Ghana Football Association (GFA) disciplinary code of 2019 and the GFA Premier League Regulations of 2019, fall under section 12(1)(i) and section 34(6)(d) respectively.

The allegations against Ogum include verbally abusing the match officials during the game and engaging in conduct that has potentially tarnished the reputation of the sport. The Ghana Football Association has given him until Wednesday, 20 March 2024, to respond to these charges.

The incident occurred during Asante Kotoko’s match against Aduana Stars, which resulted in a third consecutive defeat for the Porcupine Warriors in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

The team’s recent performance has been a cause of concern for fans and management alike, with this latest charge against their head coach adding to the ongoing turmoil.
