Asante Kotoko have appointed Hamza Obeng as their new assistant coach, signing a two-year contract.
Obeng, a former Hearts of Oak deputy coach, will also lead the Young Porcupines, the club’s youth team.
He joins from Vision FC, where he achieved promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
Obeng’s experience and youth development expertise are expected to strengthen Kotoko’s technical team, led by head coach Karim Zito.
Obeng’s appointment is part of Kotoko’s strategy to enhance both the senior team and grassroots setup, aiming to return to winning ways after a disappointing league season.
The club is also preparing for the MTN FA Cup final against Golden Kick this Sunday.
Obeng’s successful stint at Hearts of Oak, where he won league and FA Cup titles, makes him a valuable addition to Kotoko’s coaching staff.
