Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan has described his former teammate Andre Ayew as the man for the big occasion after the Black Stars skipper netted in Ghana’s 3-2 loss to Portugal in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Ayew, Ghana’s captain, poked a Mohammed Kudus assist to level the scoring for Otto Addo’s men as he registered his 24th goal in 111 appearances for the West African side.
After his scoring performance, Gyan, who scored 51 goals for Ghana during his active days, has spoken about the son of the Ghana football legend.
“I think he is the man for the big occasion. [24] goals and he’s not even a center forward, I think that is impressive.” he is quoted by SuperSportTV.
