Arsenal loanee William Saliba has revealed there is a ‘chance’ he could stay at Marseille beyond this season.
Saliba joined Marseille on a season-long loan last year July from Arsenal. The Frenchman had previously spent his time at Nice on loan where he made 22 appearances. Since his move to Marseille, the 21-year-old has been in fine form for the Ligue 1 side, earning a call-up to the French squad.
Seemingly enjoying his time with the French giants, Ben White has established himself as a first-choice under Arteta since his big-money move from Brighton alongside Gabriel Magalhães.
Speaking to Le Parisien when asked about staying with Marseille, Saliba said, “There is always a chance. I do not hide that I am very happy in Marseille.”
“I have developed, I have passed a milestone. If I make it into France’s squad it’s thanks to Marseille, because there is a lot of visibility.”
“They are a very big club with a lot of pressure, but when you’re good there are a lot of good things that happen to you.”
“We will see in May or June depending on the discussions. Today, my future, I don’t know what it is.”
