Antonio Conte’s plans for next season confirmed

Tottenham fans rejoice: Antonio Conte’s plans for next season confirmed

An update on the future of Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has surfaced on Friday afternoon, and will no doubt be met with widespread approval on the part of the Lilywhites faithful.

The subject of Conte’s future has of course proven the headline talking point at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium across the week to date.

This came amid suggestions across the European media that, despite having securing Champions League football for next season, the Italian remained undecided on his plans beyond the summer.

Italian tactician Conte has of course garnered for himself something of a name for leaving clubs high and dry, even on the back of altogether successful campaigns.

In turn, upon the former Juventus and Chelsea boss refusing to confirm his commitment to the project in north London on the back of the Premier League’s final day last weekend, alarm bells quickly began to sound across Spurs’ fanbase.

Staying put

As alluded to above, though, any such fears on the part of the Lilywhites faithful have, on Friday, been firmly quelled.

This comes owing to confirmation that Conte has now come to the decision to stay put for the 2022/23 campaign.

A meeting is understood to have taken place between the Italian and fellow countryman Fabio Paratici in Turin earlier today, during which Tottenham’s plans for the summer and beyond were laid out.

Central to such discussions was the transfer market, with Conte having made clear that he expects the kind of financial backing which Tottenham bosses of years gone by have so famously been starved of.

Evidently, though, such assurances on this occasion were forthcoming, with the reliable Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph having confirmed that the former midfielder has indeed given his word to stay put on the Lilywhite half of north London into next season.
