Ghana striker Antoine Semenyo has shared his excitement after scoring his first goal for the senior national team against Angola on Thursday.
The Bournemouth forward climbed off the bench to net the match winner in stoppage at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Ghana are now top of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Group with 7 points after three rounds of matches.
“There was no pressure. I need to make sure I’m effective for the team. I always wanna help the team and be effective. I am happy today and we have to go again in the next few days.
“I’m really happy for the goal. I needed it, and the team needed it,” Antoine Semenyo shared.
The 22 year old striker made his Black Stars debut against Madagascar in June 2022.
Ghana next will travel to Angola for the reverse fixture of the Group E encounter on March 27.
