Ghana forward, Antoine Semenyo expressed his elation after netting twice to propel AFC Bournemouth to a thrilling victory against Luton Town in the English Premier League.

The 24-year-old played a pivotal role by equalizing for the Cherries in a remarkable comeback, overturning a three-goal deficit in the first half.

With seven minutes remaining, Semenyo secured the winning goal, contributing to Bournemouth’s rare feat of becoming only the fourth team in Premier League history to clinch a victory from a 3-0 halftime deficit.

Speaking after the game, a beaming Semenyo expressed his feelings, saying, “Tired, excited, and happy for the team. It is a great game to get involved in and great to get a win.”

He credited his teammates for their resilience and capitalizing on opportunities in the second half, stating, “It feels amazing. I mean, the team showed so much resilience. We came in at halftime knowing we hadn’t played well. They scored three chances out of three, we missed so many chances and we knew coming out in the second half we would get many chances and once Dom (Solanke) scored the first one, we knew there would be many.”

Under the management of Iraola Andoni, Semenyo has been enjoying a stellar campaign, with his brace against Luton Town marking his sixth and seventh goals of the season.
