Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has named Antoine Semenyo as a strong candidate to replace Mohamed Salah should the Egyptian winger leave Liverpool FC.
Owen described Semenyo as “a brilliant player” who “scores goals.” He added that, while no one may truly match Salah’s output, Semenyo would be a logical and energetic successor if Liverpool decide to move on from their long-time star.
Semenyo, currently with AFC Bournemouth, has drawn attention this season with a string of solid performances in the Premier League.
With growing uncertainty around Salah’s future — fueled by reported tension at Anfield and mounting transfer speculation ; Owen’s endorsement of Semenyo adds fuel to the debate about who should take over Liverpool’s attacking mantle.
