Everton star Anthony Gordon has taken to social media on Sunday evening, to make his feelings crystal clear regarding a major decision to have gone against his side during the club’s meeting with Liverpool.
The latest edition of the Merseyside Derby of course played out a short time ago.
In a crucial fixture at both ends of the Premier League table, Jurgen Klopp’s title-chasing Liverpool welcomed their relegation-battling city rivals to Anfield, for a highly-anticipated clash.
When all was said and done, it came as little surprise to see the former go on to emerge triumphant, closing the gap on table-topping Manchester City to just a solitary point once more.

Everton, though, to their credit, remained very much in the running for at least a share of the spoils throughout much of the clash.
Not only that, but the Toffees saw a number of potentially match-defining decisions go against them, amid a predictably tense atmosphere at Anfield.
And, as alluded to above, one individual who has since been quick to reveal his frustrations with the standard of officiating in the derby, specifically when it came to one decision in particular, comes in the form of Anthony Gordon.
Taking to his official Twitter account on the back of the action coming to a close on Merseyside, wide-man Gordon posted a clip of himself being bundled over by Joel Matip in the Liverpool area, a challenge which the majority felt should have resulted in a spot-kick being awarded.
The 21-year-old accompanied the footage with the simple caption of a pair of face palm emojis, making his feelings clear:

Burnley in the driver’s seat
Everton’s latest defeat of course leaves Frank Lampard’s troops in a perilous position in the Premier League table, ahead of the season’s run-in.
With just six games to play, the Blues now sit in the bottom three, two points adrift of Burnley on the back of the Clarets’ downing of Southampton on Saturday.
Next up for Everton, though, comes yet another testing fixture, this time with Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea a week from today.
