Anthony Baffoe, the Deputy General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has opened up about his experience at the just ended FIFA Knowledge Exchange Workshop in Algiers.
The workshop was aimed at discussing talent development and technical leadership in Africa, and it was attended by eight member associations (MA) from Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Cote d’Ivoire, Morocco, Cameroon, Algeria, and Senegal.
The FIFA Talent Development Scheme forum started on Saturday 29 April and concluded on Friday, 5 May.
The four main topics explored during the the seven-day event was management and resources, identifying talents, academies and education.
The Talent Development Scheme aims to help federations exploit their capabilities in the best way possible, in discovering and developing talent and to help raise the level of men and women’s national teams.
FIFA has allocated $200million in funding to cover the costs of the Talent Development Scheme during its cycle from 2023 to 2026.
