Andreas Christensen among four players leaving Chelsea this summer

Chelsea have confirmed four more players will the club this summer, including defender Andreas Christesen.

The Dane international’s deal expires this summer, bringing to an end his 10 years at the London club.

The 26-year-old came through the academy ranks at the London club, subsequently graduating into the club’s senior team, where he featured 161 times.

During his decade-long stay at the club, Christensen won the FA Cup, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and, most memorably, the Champions League.

The club also confirmed Danny Drinkwater and Charly Musonda have been released.

Drinkwater signed from Leicester in 2017, making his debut in a League Cup win over Everton and scoring his only Chelsea goal in the Blues’ last match of that season, as they thrashed Stoke City 5-0.

In total, Drinkwater made 23 appearances for Chelsea, in addition to time spent on loan in England and abroad, with his most recent competitive match for the Blues coming in the 2018 Community Shield.

One other notable player walking through the exit door is Jake Clarke-Salter, who will end his 16-year association with the club.

The quartet join Antonio Rudiger, who signed for Real Madrid, in exiting the club.
