Ghanaian midfielder Andre Ayew has explained why he chose to join Dutch club NAC Breda, citing the club’s ambition and fan base as key factors.
Ayew joined NAC Breda after eight months without a club following his move from Le Havre.
“Just the discussions with the team, with the coach, the scout, CEO, director, everyone. I could see the desire, the willingness for me to join,” Ayew said.
He added, “Yes, I was speaking with different clubs around the world, but there was something that I felt here. With a big fan base also. With this club has a big name”.
Ayew was impressed by the club’s project and the presence of former Ghanaian players like Matthew Amoah and his Kamal Sowah.
He believes NAC Breda is the perfect fit for him, citing the team’s style of play and fan base. Ayew is looking forward to contributing to the team’s goal of staying in the top league.
