Ampem Darkoa FC have progressed to the semi final of the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone B qualifiers after defeating Athletico FC of Abidjan 3-1 on Friday.
Mary Amponsah recorded her second hattrick of the tournament to propel Ampem Darkoa Ladies to their second triumph and ensuring their qualification to the semifinals.
The team will now face Sam Nelly FC in the semi final on Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium at 5:00pm Ghana time.
The winner of the competition will secure a place in the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League to be played in Cote D’Ivoire in November this year.
