Former Asante Kotoko striker Amed Simba Toure has expressed his willingness to support the club following their defeat to arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash on Sunday.
The Burkinabe forward revealed on social media that he is ready to work with the Kumasi-based giants in a scouting capacity, citing his experience and eye for talent as key assets the club could benefit from.
“I am ready to be part of the team in the best way if they give me the chance for recruitment in Ghana and outside Ghana, even inside Kotoko young team. From goalkeeper to attack. I want to be part of Kotoko scout for coming season,” he posted on Facebook.
Toure, who previously featured for ASEC Mimosas and Medeama Sporting Club, enjoyed two spells with Asante Kotoko during the 2007/08 and 2011–2012 seasons. He scored 26 goals in 53 appearances in the Ghana Premier League, earning a reputation as a reliable finisher during his time with the Porcupine Warriors.
Meanwhile, Kotoko’s struggles this season have continued. The 2025 FA Cup winners have already been eliminated from the domestic cup after their loss to Aduana Football Club and have slipped to fifth place in the Ghana Premier League standings, managing just one win in their last five league matches.
