Alexander Djiku to see out remaining contract at Strasbourg

Ghana defender Alexander Djiku wants to see out the remainder of his contract at French side Strasbourg amid European club interest.

The 27-year-old neared a move to German side Hoffenheim until the deal collapsed at the last minute following a financial demand by his agent.

The centre-back returned to Strasbourg and played in the Ligue 1 match against Monaco.

“I am in Strasbourg, I am very well. I have one year left on my contract and I will do everything to stay here..” Djiku assured fans.

Strasbourg lost 2-1 at home to Monaco in the opening match of the 2022-23 French league 1 season.

Djiku has attracted interest from clubs across Europe this summer, including Sevilla in Spain and league 1 side Rennes.
