The only candidate in the running when the deadline for submitting candidacies has passed since January 5, Aleksander Ceferin will therefore remain at the head of UEFA until 2027. With this “re-election”, unsurprisingly, the Slovenian leader will thus be re-elected for the third time at the UEFA General Congress on April 5 in Lisbon.
Now at the head of the UEFA presidency for the next four years, Aleksander Ceferin will continue the various reforms of European football. It should be noted that during the last executive committees of the organization, the boss of the round ball of the Old Continent benefited from the written support of the 55 European federations.
