Al Hilal prepare for Malcom departure as Ndiaye move draws closer

Malcom is nearing the end of his time at Al Hilal as the Saudi Arabian club reshapes its attacking options ahead of the new season.

The Brazilian forward is expected to leave during the current summer transfer window, with Al Hilal making internal arrangements to conclude his departure. The club’s plans are understood to be linked to its efforts to refresh the squad’s foreign-player contingent.

Reports have increasingly connected Al Hilal with a move for Senegal winger Iliman Ndiaye in recent days. His potential arrival has raised the possibility of Malcom making way for the proposed signing, particularly as the club considers changes to its list of overseas players.

Transfer journalist Nicolo Schira says Malcom is now very close to leaving Al Hilal. The report indicates that discussions and preparations are under way inside the club to settle the player’s future during the current window.

Al Hilal are also close to completing negotiations with Ndiaye. The club’s management and coaching staff believe adding a new winger would form part of their plans to strengthen the squad before the start of next season.

Those developments mean the next few days could prove decisive for Malcom. His future may be resolved through a move to a new club, while Al Hilal could also complete one of the most significant attacking deals of the summer transfer market by finalising an agreement for Ndiaye.

The expected change is part of a broader review of Al Hilal’s attacking line. The Saudi club is assessing its options before the forthcoming campaign, with the possible arrival of Ndiaye and Malcom’s anticipated exit representing two connected elements of that process.

Malcom joined Al Hilal from Russian club Zenit in the summer of 2026. Since arriving, he has helped the club win five domestic trophies.

The report comes as Al Hilal’s transfer activity continues to attract attention, with the club attempting to reorganise its squad before the new season begins. A decision on Malcom’s next destination, or confirmation of Ndiaye’s arrival, is expected to bring greater clarity to the club’s plans in the coming days.

A separate transfer story has also raised questions over whether Mohamed Salah could move to Atletico Madrid.
