Ajax set hefty price tags on Manchester United and Arsenal targets

Ajax have warned that it will cost hefty sums to coax more players away from the Amsterdam club this summer amid interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

The Dutch title-winners have already lost manager Erik ten Hag, who has joined Manchester United. They have also lost a quartet of players, with Nasser Mazrouai and Ryan Gravenberch both joining Bayern Munich, Andre Onana joining Inter Milan and Sebastien Haller joining Borrusia Dortmund.

They could be set to lose yet more players too, with all of Jurrien Timber, Lisandro Martinez and Antony garnering interest from the Premier League.

As per Telegraaf, however, they will not being going anywhere on the cheap, with Ajax having already raked in over 50m euros this summer.

Should Manchester United want to add Antony to their side, Ajax will demand a fee of between 70m and 80m euros (£60m-£69m), which would make him an expensive acquisition in addition to Frenkie de Jong.

Meanwhile, Jurrien Timber, who the Red Devils are also keen on, is set to be valued at 50m euros (£43m too).

Another player that both Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly keen on is left-sided defender Lisandro Martinez, but the Argentine is also set to command a 50m euro fee this summer.

Arsenal have already seen one bid, thought to be around the 30m euro mark, rejected, and will have to up their bid significantly to land their man even before Manchester United’s interest is considered.

Should these prices be met, it could be a record summer for Ajax, but leave them a massive rebuilding job once more.
