Dutch giants Ajax have reportedly turned down a substantial €42 million offer from West Ham United for Mohammed Kudus.
This is the second unsuccessful bid the English Premier League outfit have tabled for the Black Stars midfielder in the ongoing transfer window.
The rejection of a €42 million offer underscores Ajax’s determination to hold onto their prized asset. Kudus, who joined the club from Danish outfit FC Nordsjaelland in 2020, has quickly become a vital component of the team’s midfield setup.
The Ghanaian is under contract at Ajax until 2025 but rejected a one-year extension in April and is keen to leave the Johan Cruyff Arena.
He has spent three seasons in Amsterdam, scoring 16 goals in 63 Eredivisie matches.
He has scored seven goals in 24 appearances for Ghana, including two at the 2022 World Cup in the 3-2 group-stage win over South Korea.
