Trainer Alfred Schreuder is happy with attacker Brian Brobbey’s form and fitness level in the Dutch Eredivise.
In the Champions League, the striker saw Mohammed Kudus always preferred, but he maintained his form against RKC Waalwijk on Saturday.
“Brian has also recovered well from the match against RKC. That while he has now played more often,” said Schreuder at the press conference in the run-up to the group match in the Champions League against Liverpool.
“He only came in at the end of the preparation. So we gave him time and didn’t get rushed,”
“We knew he needed time, but we didn’t get him for nothing. Did he surprise me? No. But we are satisfied with his development in recent weeks. That looks good. And of course it is difficult to choose when you have two such strikers,”
“Kudus also wants to play, that’s normal,” said Schreuder about the two young strikers who compete with each other.
