Afriyie Barnieh delighted with Ghana performance against Switzerland

Ghana attacker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh is elated for his performance during the international friendly against Switzerland.

The Black Stars overcame the Swiss side with two goals from Mohammed Salisu and Antoine Semenyo in Abu Dhabi.

Ghana continues preparations for the 2022 Fifa World Cup opener against Portugal and Barnieh is positive ahead of the tourney.

“I feel good for making my full debut. It was a good game, there was no pressure and I adhered to what the coaches said.

“Everything went well and we hope to win against Portugal.

“The fans back home should keep on supporting and never stop praying for me,” he said in an interview with Joy Sports.

Though not expected to start against Portugal, the winger might earn a substitute cameo with his display down the right wing in attack.

Ghana has Osman Bukari and Kamaldeen Sulemena and coach Otto Addo’s final decision will be observed.

After Portugal, the Black Stars will play South Korea and Uruguay to complete their Group H ties.
