AFCON Qualifiers: Otto Addo names 23-man squad for Angola & Niger clash

Ghana head coach Otto Addo has named his squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

The manager has selected a 23-man roster including three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and seven forwards.

Turkey based Kingsley Schindler, Majeed Ashimeru of Anderlecht, Winger Joseph Painstil and Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams have made a return to the squad after missing out on the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Central African Republic in June.

Also in the squad are Brighton and Hove Albion full back Tariq Lamptey and Cercle Brugge midfielder Francis Abu.

The note able absentees include captain Andre Ayew, Abdul Samed Salis, and Enerst Nuamah

The Black Stars will face Angola in Kumasi on September 5, 2024, before heading to Niger for the second Group F match on September 9, 2024.
