Afcon 2023Q: Patrice Milazar to lead Mauritian referees for Madagascar vs Ghana

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has named Mauritius referee Patrice Milazar to supervise the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) penultimate Group E qualifier between Madagascar and Ghana next month.

The match is scheduled for Stade Kianja Barea in Antananarivo on Sunday, June 18, 2023. Kickoff is at 17:00.

Milazar, 37, will be aided on the lines by countrymen Ram Babajee (Assistant I) and Jean-Marc Jeff Pithia (Assistant II).

Working as Fourth Official on the night will be Ahmad Imtehaz Heeralall, also a Mauritian.

The Match Commissioner for the game is Sinon Philip Georges from Seychelles.

Rwanda’s Hudu Munyemana has been selected as Referee Assessor with Helly Zafinimanga from Madagascar to work as Pre-match Ceremony Coordinator.

The Black Stars top Group E of the Cote d’Ivoire Afcon qualifiers with 8 points from four games – wins against Madagascar and Angola at home and stalemates away with the Central African Republic and Angola.
