Aduana FC defender Stephen Anorkye Badu has applauded his teammates for their collective effort after the Dormaa side secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Heart of Lions on Friday in the Ghana Premier League.
The experienced centre-back was rock-solid throughout the 90 minutes at the Kpando Sports Stadium, delivering a commanding performance that earned him the Man of the Match award. His leadership at the back helped Aduana protect Patrick Mensah’s second-half goal and claim all three points.
Speaking after the game, Anorkye Badu expressed his satisfaction with the team’s determination and their ability to finally claim an away win at a venue where they often struggle.
“We are happy that we have been able to get a win here. Most of the time we only draw here, but today by the grace of God we have gotten the win,” he said. “In our last game, we only drew at home, so today we wanted to fight for the win, and by the grace of God, we have gotten the three points.”
The victory temporarily lifts Aduana FC to the top of the Ghana Premier League table, pending the outcomes of the remaining Week 14 fixtures scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
