Patrick Mensah settled the contest in the 51st minute. The forward burst into the box and, after his initial effort was blocked, reacted quickest to steer the rebound home with a cool, controlled finish.
Lions saw more of the ball but lacked sharpness in the final third. Despite long spells of possession, they failed to register a single shot on target. Aduana, on the other hand, were far more efficient creating three attempts on goal and converting the one that mattered.
The victory lifts Aduana one point clear at the top, though Medeama’s postponed fixture against Bibiani Gold Stars could affect the standings once rescheduled.
For Aduana, the result represents a strong response after recent dips in form. For Lions, it is a rare setback at home and a reminder of the fine margins in the league.
