Aduana FC test Hearts of Oak in top-four showdown at Dormaa

League leaders Aduana FC will put their impressive home record on the line when they welcome fourth-placed Hearts of Oak to the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in a mouth-watering Ghana Premier League clash with major implications at the top of the table.

The Dormaa-based side head into the fixture full of confidence after a hard-fought win over Heart of Lions, a result that reinforced their status as one of the league’s most disciplined and efficient outfits. Aduana remain unbeaten at home this season and continue to rely on a compact defence and clinical attacking moments to grind out results.

Hearts of Oak also arrive on the back of a morale-boosting victory over Nations FC, but face a stern test away from Accra. While the Phobians boast the league’s best defensive record, goals on the road have been hard to come by.

They have failed to find the net in their last three away league matches ; a worrying trend they must overturn against Aduana’s organised backline.

Recent meetings favour the hosts heavily. Since 2022, Aduana FC have dominated the fixture, winning five and drawing one of their last six league encounters with Hearts. Notably, the Phobians have failed to score in any of those matches, including their most recent visit to Dormaa in April 2025, which ended in a 2-0 win for Aduana.

After 14 matches, Aduana FC sit top of the table with 27 points, having won eight games, drawn three and lost three, scoring 14 goals and conceding seven. Hearts of Oak follow closely behind in fourth place with 24 points from six wins, six draws and two defeats, scoring 10 and conceding six.

With Aduana aiming to strengthen their grip at the summit and Hearts desperate to close the gap, Sunday’s encounter is expected to be a tense, tactical battle where fine margins could decide the outcome.
