Aduana FC are facing a race against time to secure a home ground for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season after Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa was omitted from the Ghana Football Association’s list of approved stadiums.
The GFA’s Club Licensing Department has approved 14 venues for the forthcoming campaign after carrying out inspections and assessing the facilities. However, Aduana FC’s proposed stadium was not included among those cleared for use.
The two-time Ghana Premier League champions must now obtain approval for Nana Agyemang Badu Park before the league begins or identify an alternative venue for their home fixtures.
Failure to resolve the issue could force Aduana FC to stage matches away from Dormaa, bringing additional logistical demands and disruption to their preparations for the new season.
Aduana FC are not the only club whose home venue remains uncertain. Young Apostles’ proposed Wenchi Sports Stadium is also absent from the approved list, while All Blacks’ ground in Swedru and Vision FC’s Nii Adjei Kraku II venue are still awaiting clearance.
The clubs have only a limited period in which to address the outstanding venue concerns, with the new Ghana Premier League season scheduled to start between 4 and 7 September.
For Aduana FC, securing approval for Nana Agyemang Badu Park is expected to be an immediate priority as they seek to avoid the complications associated with relocating home matches to another stadium.
Approved venues
Several of Ghana’s leading clubs have already received confirmation that their home grounds can be used during the 2026/27 campaign.
Asante Kotoko have been cleared to play at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, while Hearts of Oak have been granted approval to use Accra Sports Stadium.

– Tuba Astro Turf
– Golden City Park in Berekum
– Nana Boamah Darko II Park in Kukurantumi
– Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi
The approval process forms part of the GFA’s preparations for the new Premier League season, with clubs required to meet the relevant stadium and facility standards before hosting matches.
Aduana FC’s omission from the list leaves the club with the added task of satisfying the licensing authorities in the weeks before the opening round of fixtures. Unless Nana Agyemang Badu Park is approved in time, the club will have to make alternative arrangements for its home schedule.
