Aduana FC CEO Collins Atta Poku has called on Ghanaian football clubs to invest in marketing their teams and players effectively.
He told Luv FM that building players’ profiles, including providing up-to-date media materials, is essential for attracting potential buyers.
Atta Poku recounted his own experience, noting that last year, even as a management member, many Aduana players lacked current photos online.
“We can’t be projecting ourselves at the expense of the club,” he said, highlighting the importance of maintaining the club’s image.
“The person that is going on transfer market to see the player… how would he find it? You would have to help the person find it. So you have to take it seriously,” he added.
He stressed that clubs should focus on preparing players and making information accessible for due diligence purposes.
The CEO also warned club officials to avoid unnecessary public attention that could harm their reputation.
He believes these steps are vital for the growth of both the players and the clubs in the modern football market.
