The Black Stars returned from Khartoum on Sunday after beating Sudan 2-0 to take a strong grip on Group D, with nine points from three games and three clean-sheets to boot. While Addo says the team will keep continue to focus on their remaining three games at home to Sudan and Mali and away to Benin, he is in no doubt 2010 is closer than ever. “I think the fans can start making their travel plans. There are still three games that we must play and win but we are very, very close to reaching the world cup now,” Addo told KickOffGhana.com. Addo says the Black Stars struggled to cope with the weather conditions but that, once they settled, they took a firm grip on the game. “The dressingroom was buzzing after the game and we are all very happy about the way things have gone. I think we have been unbeatable in this round of qualifiers because the teamwork has improved and the players are getting to know themselves a lot more.”
