Kumasi giants Asante Kotoko head into the weekend unbeaten, and midfielder Lord Hilary Adabo says one major reason is the influence of in-form forward Hubert Gyau.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s high-profile trip to the FC Samartex, Adabo praised the attacker for consistently transforming Kotoko’s frontline.
Gyau has been in striking form, firing twice in the 4-2 victory over Karela United before delivering another superb finish against Young Apostles.
“He is very confident in himself…and he is always helping us upfront so he’s really doing a lot for us. He’s been a target man for us this season.”
“When teams are coming to play us their target solely is on him which gives other players the space to also operate and that’s a plus for us,” Adabo told Kotoko media.
The Porcupine Warriors travel to the Nsenkyire Arena knowing a win will reinforce their strong start to the 2025/26 campaign.
