Accra Lions will do battle with Accra Hearts of Oak in the betPawa Premier League at the Accra Sports stadium on Tuesday.

The hosts are on a four game unbeaten run, while Hearts of Oak, currently without a head coach boasts of 2 wins, 6 draws and 2 losses in the ongoing campaign.

The Phobians have scored 6 goals and conceded 5 goals in the process. Assistant coach Abdul Bashiru is now the acting head coach following the dismissal of Martin Koopman.

Accra Lions are winless against Hearts of Oak since their debut season in 2021/22 – with two consecutive losses in two meetings.

Ibrahim Tanko’s side lost 3-0 and 3-1 in the 2021/22 and the 2022/23 campaigns respectively.

Accra Lions will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten run after overcoming a patchy run of form in recent weeks to move out of the relegation zone. Accra Lions have won two, drawn two and lost one in their last five matches and sit in 13th place with 13 points – one point ahead of the Phobians who are 14th with 12 points having won one and drawn four of their last five League games.

Inform Daniel Kwame Awuni – who has two goals in his last five League matches is available for selection. Also in the squad are Baba Salifu Apiiga, Mohammed Yahaya, Mohammed Ali, Remember Adomako Boateng, David Oduro, Abass Samari Salifu, Dominic Amponsah and Emmanuel Dzigbah.

Hearts of Oak are the first club to part ways with their head coach in the league but aims to make amends with the materials available to them as they come into the game with a fully fit squad.

Salifu Ibrahim, Micheal Ampadu, Kelvin Osei Asibey, Glid Otanga Mvou, Kashala Wanet Ramos, Hamza Issah and Kwadwo Obeng Junior are all available for the game.

The game will be broadcast live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247.
