AC Horsens have completed the signing of promising Ghanaian forward John Batigi on a four-year contract, securing his services until the summer of 2029.
The 18-year-old joins from Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv following the mutual termination of his contract, and is expected to add depth and dynamism to Horsens’ attacking options ahead of the new season.
Despite his age, Batigi arrives in Denmark with notable experience in European football. He previously impressed in the Armenian top flight with seven goals and five assists, and also found the net once in the Bulgarian league during his stint with Botev Plovdiv.
Known for his work ethic, technical ability, and versatility in attack, Batigi has been on AC Horsens’ radar for some time.
“John is a powerful offensive player that we have followed for a long time, and we are very happy to have succeeded in bringing him to AC Horsens,” said sporting director Esben Hansen. “He fits well with the profile we’re building — young, hungry, and capable of making an impact.”
Batigi will officially begin his new chapter when AC Horsens resume pre-season training on Monday, June 16 ; his first working day with the club.
