Forward Abigail Kofi Kim says she’s excited and honoured after receiving her debut call-up to the Black Queens for their friendly against Ivory Coast.
The 26-year-old attacker was named in Coach Kim Björkegren’s latest squad following a stellar season with Turkish champions Ankara BB Fumget.
She netted 17 goals and provided 10 assists to help the side win the league title.
“It’s been really great so far. The players have been welcoming, and everyone seems lovely,” she said in her first interview as a Ghana international.
Kim is hoping to make an instant impact as she settles into the national team.
Her inclusion is seen as a timely boost ahead of the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
