Ghana’sMohammed Kudus has described West Ham United Carabao Cup 3-1 win against Arsenal as “a very important victory”.
The Black Stars attacking midfielder was on target as the Hammers defeated Arsenal to seal passage to the next phase of the competition on Wednesday night.
Ben White gifted West Ham the lead in the 16th minute through an own goal.
In the 50th minute, Kudus displayed his extraordinary talent by scoring the second goal for his side.
The Hammers weren’t done yet, as Jarrod Bowen extended their lead with a well-taken goal in the 60th minute.
Arsenal managed to salvage a consolation goal when Martin Odegaard found the net late in the game.
Speaking after the game, the former Ajax star said: “Yeh, a very important victory, the past week have been difficult for us but it was good to win and win big,”
West Ham United will face Liverpool in the quarterfinals on December 18.
