Ghana’s Kwadwo Opoku scored in Los Angeles 3-2 win against Portland Timbers on Sunday at the BMO Stadium in the ongoing MLS season.

Giorgio Chiellini broke the deadlock for Los Angeles in 24th minute, followed by Carlos Vela’s goal 10 minutes later from the spot, before Opoku sealed the deal in the 52nd minute.

Although Portland Timbers tried to mount a comeback, their goals from Evandro Ferreira in the 62nd minute and Cristhian Paredes in the 84th minute were not enough to secure a draw or a win.

The goal was Opoku’s first goal of the 2023 MLS season.

Los Angeles currently sit at the 4th spot in the MLS table.
