Former Black Stars player, Razak Pimpong is confident Ghana will qualify to the knockout stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana are drawn in Group H with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea and Pimpong feels the Black Stars have a chance to progress.

Razak spoke in an interview with TV3.

“I think we have a chance. I don’t know how the final squad is going to look like but looking at how the players are doing around the world.

“I believe anything can happen.”

As a member of Ghana’s 2006 FIFA World Cup squad, Razak Pimpong described the country’s first World Cup at the senior level in Germany as a special one with unforgettable memories.

“It was something special. I was born in Jamestown and you don’t get many opportunities around there.

“Standing in the stadium and playing in the World Cup was something that I will never forget,” Razak concluded.

Ghana will kickoff their World Cup journey against Portugal on November 24.
