Former Ghana international Razak Pimpong, is positive the Black Stars will make it past the group stage at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The four time African Champions are in Group H together with Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay.

Concerns have been raised about Ghana’s capability to past the first phase of the global showpiece as Otto Addo’s side have won twice in eight matches.

In an interview with 3Sports, the former midfielder is confident the senior national team can progress past the group stage despite the results in recent matches.

“I think we have a chance. I don’t know what the final squad is going to look like but looking at how the players are doing around the world, I think we have a good chance to qualify.

Coach Otto Addo is yet to name his preliminary tournament squad.

They are scheduled to play a friendly match against Switzerland, which will be the team’s final match before departing for Qatar.

Ghana is making it to the global football fiesta for the fourth time after missing out on the 2018 edition in Russia.
