Ronaldo hits incredible Premier League goal landmark for Man United

Cristiano Ronaldo scored Manchester United’s 100th Premier League goal on Saturday against Arsenal.

The Portuguese striker was cheered by supporters of both sides in the seventh minute, following his newborn son’s heartbreaking loss earlier in the week.

Ronaldo, who was absent from United’s 4-0 loss to Liverpool on Tuesday following the news on Monday, had expressed gratitude to Anfield supporters for their emotional homage.

The 37-year-old returned to the Emirates Stadium starting lineup and scored a goal for United in the 34th minute, just after Ralf Rangnick’s team fell down 2-0 to the Gunners in north London.

Ronaldo grabbed onto a ball from Nemanja Matic and finished clinically to score his 100th Premier League goal.

Between 2003 and 2009, the Portuguese scored 84 goals in 196 Premier League games at Old Trafford.

He has 16 Premier League goals in 27 appearances in his second time with United, following nine seasons at Real Madrid and three at Juventus.

And the Portuguese international has already scored 22 goals in 36 appearances for the club in 2021-22 – and 140 in his two seasons at Old Trafford.
