Michael Baidoo missed a penalty that would have given Elfsborg a win against Degerfors in the Swedish topflight.

The intense game ended 1-1 with Degerfors happy to take a point away after a difficult time in the league. Michael Baidoo hit the post in the first half with a bicycle kick.

Diego Campos was able to make it 1-0 from close range for Degerfors in the 58th minute.

Oscar Aga equalized in the 84th minute with a header. The referee pointed to the penalty spot as the clock approached 90 minutes.

Elfsborg’s in-form player Baidoo took the penalty and fired it high, way over, and the game finished 1-1.

The former Vision FC player has made 18 appearances for Elfsborg, scored seven goals and assisted two this season.

Baidoo was called up to a pair of 2015 African U-17 Championship qualification matches for the Ghana U17s, but did not make an appearance. He is a 2-time international for the Ghana U20s.
