Godwin Attram acquires Division One club Accra City Stars –

Former Ghana international Godwin Attram is the new owner of Accra City Stars after completing the takeover of the Division One club.

The former Great Olympics star has bought the capital club which will now be known as Attram De Visser Soccer Academy Sporting Club.

In a press release signed by Accra City stars spokesperson Nana Prempeh, the club has undertaken due process with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and has been empowered to make changes.

“All the necessary documentations have been acquired from the Registrar General’s Department to allow us effect the all-important change,” the statement said.

“We are by this press statement with immediate effect also informing the GFA, the Division One League Board, the Competitions Department of the GFA and all other relevant stakeholders to address and refer to us in all correspondence as Attram De Visser Soccer Academy Sporting Club.”

Accra City Stars are fifth and four points adrift of the promotion spot in Zone III.
