Reading FC defender Baba Rahman says he is honoured to represent Ghana and is looking forward to the upcoming games.
The left-back has been named to Ghana’s squad for pre-World Cup friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.
The 28-year-old is expected to play a significant role in the two games this month. Ghana will play Brazil in France on September 23 and Nicaragua four days later.
“It’s always an honour to represent my country and I’m looking forward to the games coming up,” said Rahman.
Baba Rahmah currently has 45 caps for Ghana and will be hoping to be at the World Cup in Qatar.
“I don’t know how they are going to manage it but it will be strange for us to have a break in November to play the World Cup.
“I’ve had a good relationship with Yids (Andy Yiadom) since 2017 and we’ve carried that on when I came here.”
Baba Rahman made his Black Stars debut in 2014 and has scored one goal.
