Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus is among five top stars who have been left out of the Brazil squad to face the Black Stars in a FIFA international friend later this month.
Despite directly contributing to six goals in his first five games in a Gunners shirt, the 25-year-old forward has not been called up for his country. He has 19 goals in 56 appearances for the South American powerhouse.
Jesus featured in friendlies against South Korea and Japan and his absence from Tite’s 26-man squad comes as a surprise.
He is not the only shock snub from Tite as two of his Arsenal teammates have also been left out of the squad.
Forward Gabriel Martinelli and defender Gabriel Magalhaes have also been left out of the squad same as veteran defender Dani Alves.
Ex-Liverpool and Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho is also not in the squad for the game.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s Antony, Tottenham’s Richarlison and Liverpool’s Alisson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino have all been included.
Below is the Brazil full squad as announced by Tite
