Defender Isak Kwaku Hien joins Hellas Verona

Swedish born Ghanaian defender Isak Kwaku Hien has joined Serie A side Hellas Verona FC from Swedish Allsvenskan side Djurgardens IF.

The 23-year-old signed a four-year contract to begin life in Italy.

An official statement confirming the capturing of the former Vasalund youth man by Verona reads;

“Verona – Hellas Verona FC  announces that it has acquired from  Djurgardens IF – definitively until 30 June 2026 – the right to sports performances of the Swedish defender Isak Hien,”

“Hellas Verona FC welcomes Isak Hien with a warm welcome, wishing him the best personal and team satisfaction in the yellow and blue jersey.”

Isak was on the wish list of Torino FC and Slavia Prague, but has decided to spent the rest of the 2022/23 football season with the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi outfit in the ltalian top-flight.

The Swedish-born centre-back is still eligible to represent Ghana at the international stage as he is yet to be capped by the Swedish senior national team.
