Former Black Stars coach Charles Kwabla Akunnor has picked former Ashantigold Chief Executive Officer Kudjoe Fianoo as the best club administrator he has worked with.

Akunnor after a series of stints with Ghanaian clubs decided to settle on the current GHALCA chairman.

According to the 46-year-old, he was given more room to operate at Ashantigold SC than any of the clubs he worked for under those administrators.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based radio station Asempa FM, Akunnor said, “I would never forget. I would say this. He [Mr. Fianoo] is the only administrator I have worked with and seen who gives you the free hands to work. It felt like the team was mine. I managed everything including even matchday activities. He made me really feel responsible,” he told Worlanyo.

“Mr. Fianoo gave the team to me. He only called when it was necessary to speak to me. Sometimes when I was going overboard he would call me and draw my attention. I was in control of the team.”

Akonnor left AshantiGold to join Kotoko in 2018 after saving the club from relegation.

Hearts of Oak, Eleven Wise, Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold under different administrators including current Ghana FA president Kurt Okraku.
