Leeds can form deadly duo with Kalimuendo

Leeds United have seen a handful of new players make moves to Elland Road this summer, as Jesse Marsch prepares to take on his first full season at Elland Road.

One player that joined the Whites during the current summer transfer window that could be a particularly exciting addition to March’s squad is Luis Sinisterra.

Signed from Feyenoord on a five-year deal, the winger arrived in LS11 with an impressive attacking record as he racked up 35 goals and 29 assists in 113 appearances for the Dutch club.

With there still being some weeks left before the summer transfer window closes, this could give Marsch and Victor Orta the chance to bring in another new player to the club that could further strengthen Leeds’ attack and potentially create a deadly partnership with Sinisterra.

One figure that the Whites have been linked with that could fit this bill is Paris Saint-Germain striker, Arnaud Kalimuendo.

As a product of PSG’s youth academy, the 20-year-old who Jacek Kulig dubbed “absolutely deadly” has 11 goals in 11 appearances to his name for the club’s U19 side.

Having had two loan spells with RC Lens, the youngster found the net 21 times and provided six assists in 65 appearances, showing that he has what it takes to be a dangerous goalscorer at senior level.

In fact, to further highlight his attacking talent, with 32 Ligue 1 games under his belt with Lens last season, 29 of the 60 shots at goal he had were on target, leaving him with the highest percentage for shots on target (48.3%) out of players at the club to score more that one goal.

Hailed by Frank Haise as having a “beautiful palette” in terms of his abilities, Kalimuendo would certainly be a useful asset for Leeds at the top end of the pitch.

Bearing in mind how Sinisterra has shown how capable he is of not only scoring goals but setting them up for his teammates, having him alongside Kalimuendo could be the exact sort of attacking duo that Marsch needs in his side to make sure they don’t end up in another relegation battle in 2022/23.

With a reported price tag of €25m (£21m), the PSG prodigy should be at the top of Orta’s transfer list so he can give Marsch an extra option in his squad going forward.
