Portugal-based Ghana forward has met mother of five-time Ballon d’or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 18-year-old met Dolores Aveiro at the José Alvalade before his unveiling as the new Sporting Lisbon signing.
The former Steadfast player took to social media to share his excitement, revealing Ronaldo’s mother is inspiring and wants to always win.
“This woman is simply fantastic, she always wants to win and always advises you not to lose. She motivates you to always do more than what you can. She is so kind,” wrote the winger on social media.
The 18-year-old has signed for five seasons and has a release clause of 60 million Euros, having been presented this Wednesday at the Cristiano Ronaldo Academy, in Alcochete.
The former Ghana U20 star played a role as Ghana edged Nigeria to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar later this year.
Having been named Africa’s best U20 player at the U20 Nations Cup is Mauritania last year, Issahaku was immediately promoted to the Black Stars, making his debut against Zimbabwe in the World Cup qualifiers.
He also represented Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations early this year in Cameroon.
