Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo was on target for his side IF Elfsborg in their UEFA Europa Conference League encounter with Molde FK on Thursday night.

The 23-year-old put an impressive display to open his account for Elfsborg in their 2-1 defeat to o the Norwegian side in the second leg of the Conference League qualifications at the Boras Arena.

Despite finding the back of the net, it was not enough for his club to progress to the next stage of UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers, losing 6-2 on aggregate having lost 4-1 last week in Norway.

Elfsborg took the lead through Baidoo in the 40th minute of the game.

The visitors equalised nine minutes into second half through Emil Breivik before Ivorian youngster David Datro Fofana got the match winner in the 83rd minute.

Baidoo has scored one goal in 11 appearances for Elfsborg in all competitions since he joined the Swedish club in January 2022 from Sandnes Ulf in Norway.
